In response to the demand for high resolution recording of movies and long television broadcast such as sports, the single-sided double-layer DVD media "DVD-R DL" enables continuous recording for 215 minutes supporting a data capacity of up to 8.6 GB. To realize a high capacity, this media makes full use of the high precision forming technology represented by the formation of an intermediate layer to support long recording while securing a stable quality with less variation, high compatibility with the recorders or drives of various companies, and excellent reliability.
